Let´s look at textiles with fresh eyes – no stereotypes here. We are here for curious boys and girls who love to explore and create. We discover how textiles are all around us, how they´re made, and what we can make create with our own hands. We dive into traditional techniques and spice them up with smart modern tools and technologies. We sew, weave, knit, design digital patterns, and learn how to bring them to life.

Our textile workshop is fully equipped — sewing machines, weaving and knitting tools, ironing gear, and a colorful mix of materials and supplies. We’re always inventing new gadgets, often built in the wood workshop or with 3D printers, so we can try out fresh techniques and ideas.
With the help of our skilled lecturers, you can try not only sewing, weaving, and knitting, but also batik, textile printing, patchwork, macramé, felting, and lots of creative mixed techniques you may not have heard of yet.
We love connecting with other SFÉRA labs and workshops too — that’s why we run cross-disciplinary workshops and bigger themed events.
And, of course, safety first – our experienced lecturers will take care of it.
Do I need to book ahead?
Yes. All reservations are made online – SCHOOL PROGRAMS, COURSES FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS, WEEKEND PROGRAMS
Do I need to bring anything with me?
No. All equipment is provided. All you need is curiosity and a passion for discovery. For special workshops, we will always let you know in advance if you need to bring anything.
How much is it?
Weekend programs from 160 CZK, school programs from 1200 CZK, courses vary based on type and length.
How long is the program?
School programs last 45–90 minutes, special interdisciplinary programs up to 180 minutes. Courses are 1–2 hours long. Weekend programs vary by type and topic, usually around 90 minutes. Open workshops follow their own unique rhythm.
Do you offer any special workshops?
Sure! Every month we run a themed program that takes over the entire SFÉRA.
